The calmest sea I have ever seen was The South China Sea. In October, 1965 on the way to Viet Nam
as a soldier of the First Engineer Battalion, First Infantry Division, we crossed The South China Sea. It
was like a sheet of glass. The only disturbance were the ripples from the bottom of the bow the our
ship, The U.S.N.S. General Daniel Isom Sultan, a troop carrier.
I meant of the bow of our ship.
